On May 25 of this year, within the framework of the international project “Eurasian Bridges are Uniting Nations”, an online discussion was held between Russian Friendship Houses and non-commercial organizations. Leaders and employees of Russian friendship houses, ethnocultural organizations and institutions, national cultural centers, as well as representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Armenia participated in the event.
The event was dedicated to the contribution of the Soviet people to the Great Patriotic War and to the issues of disseminating the contributions of the War among the youth and developing and implementing new projects in that direction.
Babken Sahakyan, deputy director of the National Archives of Armenia, presented the heroic combat path of the 89th Infantry Rifle Division, or the Tamanyan Division composed primarily of ethnic Armenians from 1942-1945.
