Director

He was born on October 27, 1982, in the city of Yerevan.

1989-1999 – he studied at school No. 10 after Hayrik Khrimyan in Yerevan.

1999-2005 – he studied at Yerevan State University, Faculty of International Relations, receiving a master’s degree.

2005-2008 – he studied at the postgraduate program of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2008, within the framework of his research on Turkey’s policy in the South Caucasus (1991-2001), he defended a Ph.D. dissertation, receiving the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences.

2018 – he received the title of Doctor of Political Sciences defending a doctoral dissertation on “Turkey’s regional policy in the South Caucasus during the rule of the Justice and Development Party” at the 056 Professional Council of the Supreme Certifying Committee of RA operating in the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

He is an author of 4 monographs, and more than thirty reports and scientific articles.

2005-2006 – he has been the head of various programs of “Yelq” the Center for Public Reform and “Center for Public Dialogue and Development” NGO.

2009-2012 – he was a lecturer at YSU Chair of International Relations and Diplomacy. Since 2010 he has been an associate professor at the Chair of Human Rights, Democracy and Political Science at YSLU UNESCO.

January 2009 –  October 2013 – he worked as the Head of the Research Department of the Repatriation and Research Department of the Ministry of Diaspora of RA.

October 2013 – June 2019 – he worked as the Head of the Repatriation and Research Department of the Ministry of Diaspora of RA.

June 2019 – August 2020 – he worked as the Head of the Repatriation and Research Department of the Office of the Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2019 he was awarded the William Saroyan Medal of the Ministry of Diaspora of RA for his great contribution to the development of Armenia-Diaspora cooperation and the strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora ties.

Since December 18, 2020, he has been the director of the “National Archives of Armenia” SNCO.

Married and has two children.
